Fulfills campaign promises

As President Trump prepares to deliver his State of the Union address tonight, everything is breaking in his direction.

Not only have his policies added over $8 trillion in value to the stock market — in year one of his administration — the economy is roaring and unemployment is at an all-time low. With each passing day a steady stream of announcements is made by American businesses giving out employee bonuses and growing their businesses — Exxon Mobil, Starbucks, FedEx, Home Depot and Amazon among them — all crediting the GOP tax reform.

This is what winning looks like — despite the endless stream of false political narratives pushed by the left and venomous soundbites delivered by sourpuss detractors who’d rather see our president fail than see hard-working Americans get an extra thousand bucks in their paychecks.

Voters finally got smart last year and elected a jobs president — not an academic like Barack Obama or self-serving career pol like Hillary Clinton.

And in Trump’s first year, he created over 2 million jobs, benefiting women, blacks, Hispanics and others across demographics.

Even Democrats should be rejoicing that their kids will actually have job opportunities when they graduate college.

Trump has cut thousands of job-crushing regulations, eliminated the failing Obamacare mandate and passed historic tax reform, reducing the corporate tax rate from the highest in the industrialized world to 21 percent.

On the foreign policy side, ISIS is all but a memory. Under former President Obama, the savages had roughly 40,000 fighters. On Trump’s watch, they have fewer than 1,000.

And when it comes to draining the swamp, Trump is keeping his campaign promise to rid corrupt officials from our government. We’re seeing that unfold in real time at the beleaguered FBI with Andrew McCabe’s ouster yesterday and others who’ve lost our trust.

And he’s the first president in memory who’s actually fixing our broken immigration system, not just paying lip service. Trump has stated he’s open to giving “Dreamers” legal status and a pathway to citizenship while making a deal with Democrats to secure the border, build the wall and end chain migration.

Add to it the appointment of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court and scores of other judicial appointments by those entrusted to protect and preserve our Constitution.

With all the winning we’ve seen in Trump’s first year in office, it’s exciting to see what year two has in store. America’s best days lie ahead.
