Liberals blind to Donald Trump’s wins

Took on global elites, next up is Kim summit

The left, so blinded by its ideology and consumed with hate toward President Trump, refuses to acknowledge the peace and prosperity he’s bringing to America and the world.

All Americans should be cheering Trump’s extraordinary summit with North Korea’s dictator Kim Jong Un, about to get underway in Singapore. They should be praying that he succeeds in getting North Korea to denuclearize and live peacefully with its South Korean neighbors.

When he played hardball with Kim, the storyline was that he was going to start a war.

The exact opposite has transpired. An unprecedented summit with an old adversary — potentially a game-changing one — on par with the Reagan-Gorbachev meetings.

Doesn’t every rational human want to prevent a potential nuclear conflict and its horrifying effects on humanity?

But sadly there are too many Democrats — and their dishonest lieutenants in media — who are willing to cut off their nose to spite their face to deny Trump a public relations or political win at any cost.

Many secretly — and some openly — hope the president fails in both foreign and domestic policy, no matter how badly it hurts our nation, troops or the U.S. economy, to justify their unhinged quest to remove him from office.

Take lefty late-night host Bill Maher. On his HBO show “Real Time with Bill Maher” Friday night, Maher suggested he wants America to suffer an economic collapse to hurt Trump and oust him from office. That, of course, was the predicted consequence of his election, and again, the exact oppsite has happened.

“I feel like the bottom has to fall out at some point,” Maher said. “And, by the way, I’m hoping for it because I think one way you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy. So, please, bring on the recession. … Sorry if that hurts people, but it’s either root for a recession, or you lose your democracy.”

With extreme anti-America sentiments like that, it’s no surprise liberals didn’t give Trump any credit for standing up to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and other globalist elites at the G-7 Summit in Quebec last weekend.

Instead of thanking the president for putting America’s interests first by calling for long overdue fair and reciprocal trade reform, they attacked him for imposing tariffs on U.S. imports that will begin to offset massive trade imbalances that hurt the U.S. economy to the tune of $566 billion in 2017 alone.

The reality is, under Trump’s leadership America is witnessing the definition of prosperity with a rising GDP, historically low unemployment for all Americans and higher wages. On the foreign policy side, Trump’s succeeded in decimating ISIS, strengthened our military preparedness and is on the brink of bringing peace to the Korean peninsula.

A cause for celebration — for all Americans.

If only Democrats could shelve their hate and acknowledge that thanks to the Trump administration’s sound policies America’s best days lie ahead. But as Maher made clear, for them it never was about what is best for America.
