Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein has made a bloody fortune out of making extremely violent films such as “Kill Bill,” “Django Unchained,” “Rambo,” “Gangs of New York” … just to name a few. His blockbuster films have glorified guns and violence to the masses — including our impressionable youth.
Now, after he’s cashed in big-time — Weinstein’s net worth is estimated to be $150 million — he’s taking on the NRA to “make them wish they weren’t alive.”
In a bombshell interview with Howard Stern last week, Weinstein announced he’s making a new film with Meryl Streep that’ll portray the NRA and guns to be evil. Really, Harvey? Aren’t guns and violence the currency with which you’ve built your media empire? What we see here folks, is just another example of liberal hypocrisy.
Liberal elites possess a “Do as I say, Not as I do” modus operandi that’s egregious. Al Gore is no exception. Gore has vilified “Big Oil” for years claiming the industry is harming the environment, but when it came time to sell his media company, Current TV, who did he sell it to? Al Jazeera, an outlet owned by Qatar, which is one of the biggest oil exporters in the world. Guess “Big Oil” isn’t so bad when you get a $70 million cut, Al.
Here’s the deal with guns. Criminals don’t buy them legally. A gang member with a long rap sheet knows full well he isn’t going to clear a background check. So all that excessive gun control does, is make it harder for responsible law-abiding citizens to own a gun. Need evidence more gun control isn’t working to reduce gun deaths? Chicago is one of the strictest gun control cities in the country with — you guessed it — the most gun deaths. Proof criminals are getting guns on the black market.
So when Weinstein releases his new anti-gun propaganda film, ask yourself: Would we even have a country, if the minutemen in Concord were banned from having guns?
In 1775, the people of Massachusetts began the battle for our independence in the American Revolution. Ordinary men on a minute’s notice had to grab their guns and go fight the British at Concord’s North Bridge. They did so to protect their families and colonies from tyranny.
The reality is, if it weren’t for our brave minutemen — and their guns — we all could still be subjects of an English monarch, speaking with British accents today.
