Elizabeth Warren, Maura Healey and Hillary Clinton all have one shared strength — they can quickly look the other way when it’s politically convenient.
Yes, the fake Indian, the ambitious state attorney general and the truth-averse presidential nominee are quick to ignore the facts.
Greenpeace, however, won’t.
The environmental watchdog group reports that the campaign to elect Hillary Clinton for president has “received more than $6.9 million from lobbyists, bundlers, and large donors connected to the fossil fuel industry.”
And that doesn’t even include all the millions the Clinton Foundation has accepted from Big Oil. Toss in all the greasy connections Clinton made as secretary of state over pipelines and oil sands, too.
Again, if the fossil fuel industry is destroying the environment as liberals claim, why do pols like Hillary Clinton accept millions in donations from them?
And if Democrats claim to care about climate change, why do Liz Warren and Maura Healey endorse a presidential candidate who’s been a massive vessel of Big Oil cash?
It’s no secret Maura Healey is actively going after the fossil fuel industry in a highly controversial “witch hunt,” demanding millions of pages of documents in an overreaching probe to see if they may have violated any climate regulations.
Of course, conveniently overlooking that the leader of her party is on Big Oil’s speed-dial.
And when it comes to Wall Street ties, the song remains the same.
Sen. Warren made a political career attacking the Big Banks. Yet Hillary Clinton is a major hedge fund honey, accepting over $27 million from hedge fund sources this election cycle alone — or more, depending on which report you read.
But let’s not quibble. The millions are flowing in. So, there you have it. On one hand, liberals attack Big Banks and Big Oil to pander for their votes. On the other hand, they grab the cash and run.
That didn’t stop Liz Warren from attacking House Republicans this week over climate change when she tweeted: “House GOP time & again puts Big Oil interests over every other issue. Proud to stand w/ @MassAGO. Let her investigate & see the facts.”
The facts are clear. Liberals pretend they stand for certain values then deposit the checks when voters aren’t looking.
It’s no wonder people don’t trust politicians. Integrity isn’t a job requirement.
