France declared war against radical Islam last week, but not our president. He chose to lecture the nation instead.
Our seriously out-of-touch commander in chief insisted that we must let in thousands of refugees from Syria — the country with the highest concentration of radical jihadists in the world — because in his Pollyanna worldview that speaks to America’s “values.”
Never mind that his toothless “Red Line” and failed foreign policy in Syria directly contributed to the refugee crisis. Or that his disastrous decision to pull all U.S. troops out of Iraq — after it was stabilized — opened the door for ISIS to flourish which also fueled the migrant crisis as millions of civilians are fleeing for their lives.
But who needs a history lesson when the president can change the subject and create yet another wedge issue to divide our country? And shame on compliant media for allowing him to do so.
Mainstream media has allowed President Obama to change the subject from his failing strategy in fighting ISIS to attacking “heartless” Republicans who don’t want to permit Syrian refugees into our country without an effective, common sense vetting process.
Other out-of-touch liberals joined the lecture circuit on “values” this week, including left-wing extremist filmmaker Michael Moore and Bay State Rep. Seth Moulton. Presidential wannabe Hillary Clinton tweeted: “Our values are stronger than fear. Slamming the door on refugees isn’t who we are.”
I don’t know about you, but I don’t need a lecture from someone who’s under FBI investigation for conducting State Department business on her home-brew email server. Or from someone who left four Americans to die in Benghazi.
What millions of common sense Americans know is that staying alive is a good “value.” We know that running in marathons or walking down our city streets without a bomb going off is a good “value.”
Phony politicians exist. It’s inexcusable we have one preaching instead of leading … all as ISIS is plotting its next terror attack and threatening to hit America next.
